Guide to Reviews

The Computer Museum Guide to the Best Software for Kids uses a two-step process to evaluate software. The first step: the Guide's authors evaluate a program against the Museum's standards for learning, looks and longevity. The second step: families use the program at home and share their experience and opinions. In the Guide's reviews, you'll find this family perspective reflected in a program's description and its star rating. Previews, on the other hand, alert you to new programs that meet -- or fail to meet-- the Museum's criteria for excellence before they have been fully kid-tested and rated.
