Program Update

The Computing EDGE program has been discontinued

We're disappointed to announce that the Computing EDGE program has been discontinued. Since the program started, we have been able to place hundreds of computers. However, over the past year, we have not been able to successfully place computers that will help students.

We have received an increasing number of requests to place, or recycle old, obsolete or broken computers and displays. However, this equipment is not useful to schools. Schools have told us that unless the computer system is complete and unless it is Internet capable, they can not make use of it.

We believe that with the poor state of the economy over the past few years in many areas, companies are not upgrading their computers as often as they once did. Therefore there have been fewer computers available for donations.

We want to thank everyone who has participated and we hope that schools can find resources to help them with their computing needs.
