I'm addicted to my iPhone (I have a 3gs.) I've owned several iPods, and many assorted handheld and mobile devices. The iPhone is the first one that I really can't live without. But how does it help me as a parent, and as a busy mom?

There are the obvious uses - keeping in touch with my teen (who prefers to text me than to call me), the calendar, contact manager, and an occassional game or two. But what else?

• Reading books while waiting
• Keeping young children entertained
• Taking notes (doctor's office, parent/teacher conference, etc.)
• Keeping notes on clothing/shoe sizes for use when shopping
• Keeping track of child's illness for use when at doctor's appointment
• As an emergency flashlight!
• And much more...
