If your child likes powerful, scary or unusual sea creatures, then this book will entertain and educate them. It's filled with well-done (and some very unusual) pictures and associated interesting facts. The book is not just about sharks, but about a wide variety of undersea life. The topics group the creatures into categories such as "armed and dangerous" (octopus and anemone), "fins like wings" (rays) and "spikes and spines" (lionfish, porcupine fish). It may be a bit scary for a very young child (2-3), but is great for a preschoolers and older children.
