PRODUCT: Infant Cardigans - Tommy Hilfiger U.S.A. Inc. (Tommy Hilfiger), of New York, N.Y., is recalling about 3,800 infant cardigans. The recalled fleece cardigans range in size from 3 to 24 months in colors red or navy. There are four plastic snaps on the front of the cardigans.

The cardigans have long sleeves and two front pockets. High-end department stores nationwide sold the cardigans from August 1998 through October 1998 for about $36.

PROBLEM: The cardigans' snaps can detach, presenting a choking hazard to infants.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES: Tommy Hilfiger has received one report of a snap detaching from a cardigan. No injuries have been reported.

WHAT TO DO: Consumers should stop using these cardigans immediately, and call Tommy Hilfiger Consumer Relations Department toll-free at (877) TOMMYCARES anytime to arrange for an exchange or full refund.
